About
I create symbolic contemporary paintings that explore transformation, identity, connection, and the unseen stories that shape our lives. Through recurring motifs such as butterflies, celestial elements, animals, body art, and the human figure, my work invites viewers to reflect on change, resilience, belonging, and the threads of meaning that connect people, memories, and experiences.
My fascination has always been with moments of becoming - the quiet shifts that alter how we see ourselves and the world around us. I am particularly drawn to body art because it transforms the body into a living canvas of personal history. In many ways, my paintings explore a similar idea: how inner experiences can be expressed through symbols and imagery.
Born in Ukraine and now based in the Netherlands, I bring together influences from different cultures, experiences, and disciplines. Alongside my artistic practice, my professional background in science has shaped the way I observe patterns, ask questions, and explore complexity. These seemingly different worlds meet in my paintings through a shared curiosity about what lies beneath the surface.
My work has been featured in the international art publication Artmosphere and is held in private collections. Through each painting, I seek to create work that remains meaningful long after the first impression - work that rewards returning to it, discovering new details, and finding new interpretations over time.
