Guardians of the Sky was created for my son when he was just a few months old. The painting began as a personal reflection on the unconditional love, guidance, and protection that surround us from the very beginning of life.
The sun and the moon are portrayed as guardians, watching over the world below. Together they represent enduring presence - a source of warmth, reassurance, and support through life's changing seasons. Their relationship speaks not only to duality, but to partnership, balance, and the strength found in connection.
Hidden among the stars are two constellations - the zodiac constellations of my husband and myself - quietly embedded within the night sky as a personal layer of meaning.
